The delegation from the Nigerian Army War College  paid a courtesy call on the Chief of Defence Staff, Gambia Armed Forces Lieutenant General Masanneh Kinteh. Meeting the delegation on behalf of the Chief of Defence Staff, The Commander Gambia National Army, Brigadier General Mamat O Cham welcomed the delegation to The Gambia.

He informed the delegation that the Chief of Defence Staff would have loved to meet them but due to service exigency he has delegated him to receive them on his behalf. He extended the Chief of Defence Staff’s warm regards and that of the entire armed forces. He thanked the Nigerian Armed Forces unbroken support to the Gambia Armed Forces.

He briefed the delegation on the ongoing transformation process the Gambia Armed Forces is undergoing to make it more relevant in the 21st century and serve the Gambian people better.

The head of delegation and the Commandant of Army War College Major General  Enenche John Enenche thanked the Gambia Armed Forces for the hospitality accorded to them since their arrival into the country. He stressed the importance of regional cooperation as it’s the only way out to tackle the security challenges in West Africa. He further went on to congratulate the Gambia Armed Forces the maturity they exhibited during the political impasse. He said that the country would have been in flames if the Gambia armed forces was divided. He concluded by applauding the transformation agenda of the Gambia Armed.
