The khaki girls’ first ever pre-season tour kick started on Thursday 30th September 2018. The team left for the bustling town of Farafenni in the North Bank Region of the Gambia which lays the 2 Infantry Battalion of the Gambia National Army.
Despite a previously long travel time to their destination, the khaki girls logged horns with their hosts; the 2 Infantry Battalion female football team. The game started with a show of camaraderie with a host of senior and junior officers as well as other ranks in attendance. At the end of the game, the khaki girls trounced their hosts and comrades, 8-0.
Meanwhile, Saturday 1st September saw the khaki girls consolidating their victory spirit by vigorously engaging the Farafenni town female football team in another encounter. The march ended 6-0 in favour of the Gambia Armed Forces 1st Division Female Football Team.
