A delegation from the Nigerian Army war college is expected into the country today 3 September 2018 on a study tour. The study tour is part of the college’s curriculum with objectives of exposing the participants to the geo-strategic facts about the countries visited.
As part of activities line up for the visit, the delegation will pay courtesy calls on key Government functionaries such at the Chief of Defence Staff and the Presidency. They will also receive lectures and presentations from government officials and other stakeholders in the Gambia. The delegation will also visit some historical sites such as Bakau Kachicali Crocodile Pool.
The delegation is expected to depart on the 7 September 2018. It could be recalled that this is the 4th delegation from the Nigerian military training institutions to visit the Gambia this year. The training institutions that visited the Gambia are the Nigerian Naval War College, Nigerian National Defence College and The Armed Forces Command and Staff College. The visit by these training institutions to The Gambia demonstrates the good relationship between the 2 armed forces and by extension the 2 governments.
