His Royal Highness Prince Charles of Wales and a powerful entourage descended on the training school grounds of the Gambia Armed Forces in Fajara on 1 November 2018. The historic visit forms part of the Prince’s visit to the Gambia at the beginning of a 9 Day tour of West Africa.
He was received on arrival by the Chief of Defence Staff Gambia Armed Forces Lieutenant Masanneh N Kinteh along with the Commandant Gambia Armed Forces Training School and a host other senior GAF officials.
As part of events marking his visit to the School, the Prince had a briefing with the Chief of Defence Staff and the Commandant of the School, a personal interaction with some veteran members of GAF, witness a lecture for GAF Rapid Deployment Team while capping with a brief view of a demonstration of martial arts by members of the Gambia Armed Forces.
