The Gambia Armed Forces is engaged in series of transformations. In her endeavor to transform the Armed Force into a modernized and professional Army; the Information Management System (IMS) office at the Defence Headquarters(DHQ) on Tuesday 27 November 2018 commenced a 3 day training program for the personnel of GAF Ordnance.
The 3 days program was to prepared GAF personnel ahead of the deployment of the software to the ordinance unit. The program composed of training on how to manage and monitor the GAF Stock Management System, evaluation the system functionalities and also to create awareness of Cybersecurity in relations to securing the system.
The trained GAF Ordinance personnel are now equipped to effectively and efficiently manage the system. The GAF Stock Management System would enable the ordinance unit to perform their services through electronic medium, thus while making their services fast,efficient and effective it also provides an oversight to monitor for projection, accountability and transparency.
