The president of NISA, Saikou B. Jarjue accompanied by some officials from NISA on Thursday 28 February 2019 paid a courtesy call on the Chief of Defence Staff at the Defence Headquarters in Banjul, where a formal presentation of the trophy won by the GAF Volleyball Team was handed to the CDS.
It could be recalled that it was earlier published in January this year that the Gambia Armed Forces Female Volleyball team won the International Sub-regional Championship held in St. Louis, Senegal.
During the presentation of the trophy, the president of NISA praised GAF for being actively participating since the inception of NISA. He also said NISA is aimed at fostering relations between institutions while concluding by praising GAF for being the first to break a record of winning the competition in Senegal.
The CDS thanked NISA for inviting GAF to partake in such an important tournament while expressing joy for emerging winner of the Championship and praised the team for their tireless effort and discipline during the games.
