The Gambian contingent 21 dubbed Gamcoy 21 on Wednesday 26 August 2018 officially christened the Gamcoy level hospital after the late Lance Corporal Bakary Danso and organized a volleyball tourney after him.
This move was initiated to immortalize and always remember him as a hero who joined the ranks of those who paid the ultimate price for humanity.
It could be recalled that the late Lance Corporal met his untimely demise in the Sudanese region of Darfur on 5 July 2018. His body was flown in amidst deep mourning and was laid to rest at his home village of Chogen, Badibu, North Bank Region.
