The Gambia Armed Forces serves beyond ensuring physical security. As mandated by the Constitution, other areas of intervention include education, agriculture, engineering etc.
In fulfillment of this part of our mandate, the Yundum Barracks Upper Basic School was established in September 2015 and since its inception has enrolled 406 students.
The Gambia Armed Forces Education Service produced its first ever batch of grade 9s for the Gambia Basic Education Certificate Examination (GABECE). The School was able to produce aggregate twelve (12) with nine (9) credits by Mohammed B Njie.
On this milestone achievement, the Gambia Armed Forces High Command wish to thank the teachers, students, parents and MOBSE for their relentless support to the GAF Education Unit.
