The Gambia Navy intercepted a boat carrying suspected cannabis sativa whilst on routine security patrol in and about Jakoi general area .
The trafficker/s abandoned their boat as the patrol team approached them. On boarding the abandon boat and conducting a search the patrol team found 4 bags of cannabis sativa. The boat was taken to the Naval base and the NDEA were contacted for their input.
