Gambia Armed Forces (GAF) personnel attends 4 days Training of Trainers (TOT ) on International Humanitarian Law (IHL). This important event is being held at the Joint Officers Mess in Kotu. 
The training is offered by the International committee of the Red Cross. At the opening ceremony,the representative of the Chief of Defence Staff Commodore Madani Senghore posited that the members of GAF who are opportuned to attend such a special training, should make best use of the exercise and disseminate to their colleagues in the units.
The ICRC representative, retired Colonel Pap Malick Diaw in his opening remarks said that the TOT will capacitate the trainees to further train members of The Gambia Armed Forces to understand International Humanitarian Law which will guide them in the execution of their duties both home and abroad.
